GUEST INVESTOR PROGRAM (GIP)

After the huge success of the first Hungarian Investment Immigration Program (also known as "Hungarian Bond Program") between 2013-2017, the Hungarian Government decided again to launch a new "Investment Immigration Program", called Guest Investor Program (GIP), effected from July 1, 2024.

(For legislative background check Section 16 and Section 22of Act XC of 2023 - The Hungary Immigration ACT of 2023).

The Government created the following three investment options, through which investors along with their family members can obtain stable 10-year residence status (renewable for another 10 year):

A."Investment Fund" option: Investment of at least EUR 250,000 in a Government licensedreal estate Fund for a minimum of 5-year.

B."Property Investment" option: Purchasing Hungarian residential real estate(s) for a total value of at least of EUR 500,000, and hold for a 5-year period.
[effective only from Jan 1, 2025]

C."Higher Education Donation" option: Donation of at least EUR 1,000,000 to a Hungarian higher education institution maintained by a public-interest asset management Foundation performing a public task.

Residence permit for 10 years (+10 year extension option) in Hungary, with visa free travel options to all Schengen states. EU residency card with longest period.
